We are now part of the 1% For The Planet Movement!

We are thrilled to announce that we have joined this global movement with 2600 members across 45 countries all committed to the environment. 

1% For The Planet was started by Patagonia’s founder Yvon Chouinard and Craig Mathews, ex-owner of Ribbon Flies to unite all those businesses that could donate 1% of their total sales to support environmental projects.

Today, only 3% of all global philanthropy is channeled towards the protection of the environment. This is too little. The mission of 1% For The Planet is to increase the sums supporting environmental projects and at the same time leverage their impact.

The majority of businesses do not have the expertise and resources to create their own philanthropic strategy in favour of the environment. It is also rare a thing that businesses can find the time to search and choose the environmental project best in line with their values and causes.

So, the movement facilitates the exchange of funding between its members: businesses committed to protecting the environment and NGOs like Maewan with the actual projects on the ground to protect the planet.

For us, to be part of this network is an important milestone that will help us to multiply the impact of our actions in France and abroad. We are really enthusiastic to be part of this big family sharing our values and motivations!
